A workshop of the new international fellowship mobility program for experienced researchers NEWFELPRO took place at the University of Zagreb on 4 June 2013. The presentation and discussion about the NEWFELPRO project, application procedures, project documentation and evaluation criteria was led by Aleksandra Čolić Kovač and Damir Šoh from MSES. Dr Robert Vianello from Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, multiple Marie Curie fellow, presented his personal experiences related to the Marie Curie application process and his research conducted abroad.
Seventy-five participants attended the workshop. Participants were mostly from the University of Zagreb (School of Dental Medicine, Faculty of Textile Technology, Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Kinesiology, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, School of Medicine, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Traffic Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, Faculty of Graphic Arts and Centre for Research, Development and Technology Transfer). A number of participants from scientific research institutes attended the workshop (Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, Ruđer Bošković Institute, Institute for Anthropological Research, Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, and Institute of Philosophy), as well as participants from the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Meteorological and Hydrological Service, the Political Science Research Centre and the Mechanical Engineering Faculty from Slavonski Brod.
Participants were informed about the project documentation and application procedure, and they showed significant interest in the structure of application forms, types of host institutions and the financial structure of project proposals.
The next NEWFELPRO workshop will be held at the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek on 5 June 2013 at 11:00 CET in the premises of the University Rectorate, Trg Svetog Trojstva 3.
