NEWFELPRO workshop held at the University of Split

A workshop of the new international fellowship mobility program for experienced researchers NEWFELPRO took place at the University of Zagreb on 4 June 2013.  The presentation and discussion about the NEWFELPRO project, application procedure, project documentation and evaluation criteria was led by Aleksandra Čolić Kovač from MSES. Dr Robert Vianello from the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, multiple Marie Curie fellow, presented his personal experiences related to the Marie Curie application process and his research conducted abroad.

Thirty-six participants attended the workshop. Participants were mostly from the University of Split (Faculty of Science, School of Medicine, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, Faculty of Kinesiology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University Department of Professional Studies, and University Department of Marine Studies), as well as from Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation, IGH Institute, and Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. The workshop was also attended by researchers from the University of Zadar.

Participants were informed about the project documentation and application procedures. Most of the participants’ questions were related to the structure of application forms, types of host institutions, role of senior tutors, financial structures of project proposals and length of the evaluation process.

The next NEWFELPRO workshop will be held at the University of Zagreb on 4 June 2013 at 11:00 CET in the premises of the University Rectorate, Trg maršala Tita 14.
