The EU2014 conference on The Empowerment of the Next Generation of Researchers “Promoting talents, spreading excellence” will take place in the city of Trento from 18 to 19 November 2014 and is organised by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Trento.
The overall theme is to discuss and reflect on how programmes for researcher training, recruitment and career development empower the next generation of researchers to be successful, no matter how society and the economy evolve.
Key elements will be explored from this angle such as skills, mobility, and gender issues as well as the interaction between academia and industry sectors. The conference will focus on the roles of policy-makers, funders and businesses contributing to research training, working together with universities and research institutions.
